We want your ideas to help make this video rock.  We would love to have your input on:

shooting locations

editing techniques/software

We would love to have a discussion through comments on this post.  If you prefer, you can always email Rachel directly.

This is the last time we will ask you to vote for Baying Hound in the Intuit Contest. The voting ends in 24 hours!

We want to be the online source for the finest eco-friendly outdoor gear. Here’s how we plan to grow should we advance in the contest:

-finish our web redesign with the help of a programmer to make it more user friendly
-add a dog gear category to our store
-invest in biodegradable shipping materials where we currently use lightweight recyclable plastic

If you already voted, thank you so very much. If not, please take 60 seconds to show your support of our earth friendly business today. You can vote for us in all three categories, ‘inspiring’, ‘fun’, and ‘useful’ by clicking on the matching blue icons on our entry page. We appreciate it so much.

Every year, cyclists around the US participate in Bike to Work Week.  The League of American Bicyclists promotes May as National Bike Month.  Bike to Work Week is May 11 – 15.  Bike to Work Day is Friday May 15.

There are special events held in many communities.  Find happenings in your town through the League of American Bicyclists events listing.

Bike to Work Week has is active in Columbus OH where our headquarters are located.  There is a challenge to see who can rack up the most rides in work teams. We are hosting a team for those of us who work from home in Central Ohio.

One of the biggest changes you can make to minimize your impact on the environment is to make local food choices.  Shopping at the farmer’s market and participating in CSAs ensures your food doesn’t travel far wasting precious resources.  Usually food is minimally packaged.  Eating locally also gives you peak of the season selection which is healthier for you.

Finding local food sources can sometimes be difficult because many farmers are so busy working the fields they have little time or inclination to market themselves.

That’s where www.localharvest.org steps in.  They have a rich database of farmers, markets, restaurants and CSAs countrywide sorted by product type and location.  Their newsletter is informative but not intrusive, arriving only every few weeks or so.  The event listings could fill your whole summer with local food activities!

The hounds say, check it out!
